Brownson, PLLC is pleased to announce that on August 5, 2021, Senior Litigation Attorney Joe Lulic won a jury verdict on behalf of a homeowners’ insurer in the U.S. District Court at St Paul, Minnesota. The plaintiff owned and insured a mansion on St. Paul’s Summit Avenue, but, while away, did not check to see that the heat was on after which the pipes froze, causing extensive damage. He filed suit against Joe’s client, the homeowners’ property insurer. Seeking insurance coverage for the loss.
Following a Jury trial before Judge Paul Magnuson in the U.S. District Court, the jury returned a verdict in favor of Joes insurer client, finding no coverage for the damage.
