What is Operation Backpack?
Operation Backpack is the Volunteers of America- Minnesota and Wisconsin annual drive to collect new backpacks filled with school supplies for at-risk children from low-income families.
Who benefits from Operation Backpack?
Operation Backpack benefits the agency’s current clients, including foster children, inner-city students, special needs youth, and those with mental health issues. The agency will also offer backpacks to community partners serving at-risk youth as supply allows.
